It is with the heaviest heart that we write of the recent passing of our lovely Laurence, known to many as Lou. He had been fighting cancer since the spring of this year but tragically he was taken from us all too suddenly on 22nd November
We would now like to invite you to join Lou's friends and family in celebrating his life at a service to be held at Hinton Park Woodland Burial Ground in Dorset, on Monday 21st December 2015. There will be coffee and refreshments upon arrival at 12.30, with a humanist service led by the celebrant commencing at 1pm. Weather permitting the service will be outside. Please be aware that it could be muddy, and we will be outside for around 20 minutes, so wrap up warm. Communigrow community have independently also set up a memorial fund at Lou liked his flowers with their roots attached so please bear this in mind if you wish to bring flowers. He was also fond of his vegetables so if you wish to bring an alternative tribute to place on the grave that would be thoroughly welcomed! (we can move into the other bar after 5pm)
The pub is approximately 20 minutes drive from the burial ground. There is ample parking at the pub, and Brockenhurst station is just across the road. Use the local pub as the waypoint: The Walkford at 16 Walkford Rd, Walkford BH23 5QF as this is on the corner with Wyndham Road. Arriving from the North and East • At junction 1 exit toward Lyndhurst/A337 • At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Lyndhurst Rd/A337 and stay on the A337 approx 3.5 miles • Turn left at High Street/A35 • Turn right at Gosport Lane/A35 and follow A35 for approx 10 miles • Turn left at Ringwood Rd signposted ‘Highcliffe and Walkford’ • Take the 3rd left onto Walkford Road • Take the 2nd left onto Wyndham Road • Follow this road approx 0.5 miles along the tarmac drive • You will come into the entrance of the grounds and see our Service Centre directly in front of you Arriving from the West and Christchurch • From the centre of Christchurch head onto the Christchurch-by-pass/A35 heading East • At the roundabout with the B3059 and A337 – take the 1st exit onto Lyndhurst Road/A35 • Go through one roundabout and stay on this road approx 2 miles • Turn Right at onto Ringwood Road signposted ‘Highcliffe and Walkford’ • Take the 3rd left onto Walkford Road • Take the 2nd left onto Wyndham Road • Follow this road approx 0.5 miles along the tarmac drive • You will come into the entrance of the grounds and see our Service Centre directly in front of you If you need more information on how to get to Hinton Park please call the team on: 01425 278 910 After the funeral we will publish the order of service here for those people who knew and loved Laurence but were unable to attend the celebration of his life.
