Temporary arrangements during the Coronavirus health emergency
British Embassy Paris
PASS SANITAIRE
Are you travelling to France? If you plan to take a long-distance train, eat in a restaurant, visit a museum or access a range of other venues, you will need a pass sanitaire.
Currently, people attending events and cultural spaces in France with over 50 people will need to demonstrate their COVID-19 status through the “pass sanitaire” – a QR code which demonstrates you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, have recovered or have tested negative.
From 9 August, you need this to access a range of services and venues including leisure facilities (bars, restaurants, museums, cinemas), hospitals, retirement homes and modes of transport such as long distance train and bus journeys and planes, as well as ferries to Corsica. Those aged 12 to 17 will only be subject to this requirement from 30 September.
Those vaccinated in England are able to demonstrate their vaccination status by downloading the French government’s “TousAntiCovid” app and clicking on the option “Scan a QR code” to scan the QR code from the digital NHS England vaccination certification or by using the downloadable PDF certificate. This will generate a QR code that will save in the “wallets” section of the “TousAntiCovid” app, which you can then show when asked for the pass sanitaire. You will need to refresh it every 30 days.
Those vaccinated in Wales can download a PDF certificate through the online web portal containing a QR code which they can then scan and save into the “TousAntiCovid” app, in the same way described above. You can find further info on accessing your certificate if vaccinated in Wales: https://gov.wales/get-nhs-covid-pass-show-your...
We will provide further information on certification for Northern Ireland and Scotland, as well as for the NHS inclusive letters (paper version of the COVID-19 vaccination letter) as soon as it is available.
The British Embassy cannot provide tailored information for specific trips. For further information to help you plan a visit to France, please see our travel advice: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/france

We are open - as are beaches, forest, parks, public gardens and lakes all over France as well as shopping centres, museums, cinemas, amusement parks and swimming pools. Restaurants bars and cafés are currently offering terrace service in person (50% capacity) or takeaway and delivery services - my recommended list of menus available on request. From 9 June bars, restaurants and cafés can serve inside at 50% capacity or on their terrace at 100% capacity
Our 2 self-catering holiday apartments, each for 4 people (a 2-room apartment at the Belvedere in the forest and a 3-room apartment in Le Touquet town centre near the beach and the market) and our 4 B & B rooms are also ready to welcome you. You can check all our availability on this web page.

Cleanliness is at the heart of our and your concerns and to ensure the safety of our guests and contain the spread of COVID-19 we have implemented a stringent cleaning protocol using anti-viral products and the scrupulous disinfection of any surface likely to have been touched.
We wash the bedding and towels on a steam cycle adding a disinfectant product and supply our guests with liquid soap, hand sanitizer, disposable tissues and toilet paper. You can also request a free washable and reusable mask if required
When self-catering if you prefer you are welcome to provide your own bedding and towels in which case we would ask you let us know ahead of time and get in touch for the bed sizes
Our self-catering flats and B & B rooms are unfortunately not suitable for people infected with Covid-19 wishing to self-isolate during their recovery
Breakfast
For guests staying in bed and breakfast rooms, continental breakfast is included in the room price and is served individually in the large communal area or on the south-facing terrace in fine weather. We now have 4 separate dining spaces for 4 B & B rooms each 2+ meters apart. We can however serve your breakfast on request at a single table of up to 14 people in the same group and in compliance with current regulations governing the maximum number of people who may gather at any time. 6 is the current maximum
When moving around outside of your room please wear a mask - as is compulsory in cafes, bars and restaurants when you are not sitting and inside all public spaces. For your protection do remember to pack resealable freezer bags so you have a place to put your mask while you eat
Physical Distancing
For apartment rentals and in compliance with precautionary measures to reduce the risk of exposure, we currently implement a contactless welcome and for all customers we prefer card payment over the phone or via a secure card payment link which we will send you by email during your stay
We will handle any requests from guests within the limits of sanitary constraints and for this reason during the state of health emergency we avoid entering the rooms or apartments and will temporarily not be able to carry out the usual daily cleaning in B & B rooms or the weekly clean in self-catering accommodation - only a thorough cleaning between rentals of course - but we are happy to provide clean towels and bedlinen on request. We apologise for this inconvenience and we will resume usual housekeeping as soon as possible
We also apologize for not being able to offer tourist information in paper form but fortunately everything is now available online and you will find web links in your room. We are also sorry not to be able to offer the usual tea and coffee-making facilities in the communal area for the moment. Please accept our apologies
